Gujral Distributors is a family-owned business established in 1965. This is the second generation of the family operating the business. The car rental arm of the business has been in operation for two decades and has a long history of success.

Drivers and other personnel
We hire drivers for our vehicles from reputed agencies like S&IB, ISMS, Quantum, Global Security among others. We provide training to our personnel to ensure that their soft skills exceed industry standards and their performance is exceptional.
Our drivers are familiar with the city of Kolkata and major landmarks, its roads, business locations and places of tourist interests.
Long-distance drivers
We offer specialist long distance drivers who are familiar with cities and towns near Kolkata, such as Haldia, Raichak, Shantiniketan, Digha and Puri, amongst others.
The drivers we select for long-distance service are physically able and hardy, accustomed to long working hours and have adequate experience in highway driving. They also have rudimentary mechanical / engineering knowledge to enable them to respond to breakdowns and to get the vehicle to the next major station for repairs.

Points of presence
We have a fully functional office in downtown Kolkata at Park Street. In order to respond adequately to a sudden surge in demand, we have additional office space at Princep Street and also in the upcoming Rajerhat area. Our offices are spread over 2000 square feet and have a staff strength of thirty five executives.
Fuel (Petrol / Diesel) top-up policy, sourcing and supply
We have a standing arrangement for uninterrupted fuel supply throughout the year with Bharat Petroleum fill-up station close to our office. Further, as a backup we have arrangement with two other fill-up stations.
The fuel tanks of our cars are topped up daily and our drivers reach customers with a full tank of fuel, as per company policy.
Parking and upkeep of fleet
All our idle vehicles are parked at our garage in central Kolkata at Park Street and in south-central Kolkata at Garcha. We have another garage at Rajarhat which is under construction. We operate 24/7 and are fully staffed with office personnel for customer service and mechanics for the repair and preventive maintenance of vehicles in our fleet.
Car wash
We own and operate our own car wash and as per policy all our vehicles are washed from midnight every day.
Reporting policy for timely dispatch of vehicles
Punctuality of service is our strong suite and we have policies and processes in place to insure timely dispatch of vehicles. For early morning pick-ups and drops, we have a policy that the driver should report at our Park Street or Garcha office the night before and sleep in the drivers rest room. The night manager insures that the driver reports for duty as per policy and leaves the office well in time to reach the customer at the appointed time.

We do not insert our branding or logo on any of our vehicles. We have the utmost respect for our customers and the businesses they represent and do not dilute their brand by forcibly projecting ours.
Driver preference: choose your driver
When booking a vehicle, our clients are welcome to indicate their preference for a particular driver, on availability. This could be due to the driver being aware of locations that a client had stopped at in a previous visit or that the dedication, attitude or efficiency of that particular driver was appreciated . The drivers we offer are able to work better because we train them better to ensure that our clients get a better experience.
Tourism and sightseeing
Our drivers are trained to take guest to their place of appointment or for sight-seeing. Since we have English-speaking drivers they can handle such situations by themselves.
Armed guards
If a client prefers it, we provide armed guard with our cars by virtue of our tie-up with security agencies
